I'm an independent product manager cum software engineer, primarily drawn to the product side of the problem: what to build, for whom, and how we'll know it worked. I start from a user's real situation, define success before scoping, and cut the first version down to what can actually be tested.
Having worked inside agile teams that ship AI-driven software, I've seen requirements from the engineering side. That shapes how I write them: specific enough to build, and tied to an outcome someone can measure.
The three case studies here started in very different places: one from a non-technical business owner with customers to reach and led me to solve a real problem, another in a scrappy way while brainstorming for a 24-hour hackathon, and the other one from my own analysis of how a sales team could make faster, auditable decisions. The approach was the same in all these. Find the real constraint, build the smallest thing that tests it, and let usage decide what comes next.
